After 30 years of working in Print, Multimedia and the Web, that quote from legendary graphic designer Paul Rand still runs deep. And one constant from the creative services field that will always be in play (from my end of the field) is fighting for the design. I'm more passionate about it than ever. Even with the occasional dismissal of the job as being mere icing on the cake, one can't help be continually inspired by design. We're surrounded by it. From the strategic through the simple aesthetic, it continues to play me like a fiddle.

Beyond Web design, my focus has returned to a technical slant with an emphasis on the emerging HTML5 and CSS3 standards. The Open Source victory, along with a growing interest in the jQuery script libraries is certainly keeping my interest level high and the learning curve tolerances well oiled. The current toolbox includes Photoshop CS, Illustrator CS, Dreamweaver, TextWrangling (for hand coding), Adobe Acrobat and Constant Contact for eMarketing distribution/tracking.
